Full flavoured with layers of fleshy black fruit and toasty spice backed by firm, ripe tannins and dark chocolate notes on the finish.

Hills in the south of the province of Asti, Piemonte. South West aspects at altitudes between 250 and 400 m. Limestone-clay soil.

Piemonte low Guyot trellis. Planting density 4,000 - 4,500 vines/ha.

Drink with grilled red meats, roast duck, rich stews or pasta with intense tomato sauces.
